IIFM Career Week: a week of meetings between talent, fashion and companies
From September 21 to 25, IIFM hosted its Career Week, a week dedicated to bringing students together with leading companies and headhunters from the fashion, luxury and retail sectors.
Managers and HR professionals from brands such as Swarovski, Burberry, Tod’s, OVS, Dolly Noire, Tiffany & Co., Rocco Forte Hotels, The Longevity Suite, Chanel, and many others met with IIFM students through one-to-one interviews, creating an important opportunity for direct engagement with the professional world and for exploring internship and employment opportunities.

IIFM Career Week: A Bridge Between Education and the World of Work
The IIFM Career Week represents an important opportunity to bring students closer to the professional world and enable them to establish direct contact with companies and professionals in the fashion industry.
The one-to-one meetings allowed students to present their academic and professional backgrounds, skills and career goals, while also learning more about the professional and internship opportunities offered by companies.
For students, Career Week was also a concrete opportunity to expand their professional networks, gain a closer understanding of different companies and discover new opportunities for entering and developing their careers within the sector.
Engaging directly with companies also enables students to better understand which skills are most sought after in the fashion and luxury market and to build relationships that can, over time, develop into new professional opportunities.

Meetings with Companies and New Opportunities for IIFM Students
The presence of leading brands during Career Week confirms the importance of dialogue between education and the fashion industry.
Through recruiting, networking and career guidance opportunities, students were able to gain first-hand insight into a range of companies and begin building professional relationships that can support their future careers in the fashion and luxury industry.
“Career Week represents one of the most practical and tangible moments of the IIFM experience”, comments Nicola Guerini, Founding Dean and Director-General of IIFM. “Connecting our students directly with companies, managers and professionals gives them the opportunity to engage with the world of work, understand what the market is looking for and begin building real professional relationships. Education, especially in the fashion and luxury sectors, must be able to engage with the business community, and this is one of the founding pillars of our Institute. We are therefore particularly grateful to all the companies and professionals who chose to dedicate their time and attention to our students.”
Career Week is therefore an integral part of IIFM’s commitment to providing students not only with specialised education, but also with concrete opportunities to engage with the world of work and leading fashion companies.
