IIFM Milan Summer School 2026 Concludes: Two Weeks of International Learning at the Heart of Fashion

The IIFM Milan Summer School 2026 has successfully concluded, bringing together students from around the world for an immersive educational experience focused on Fashion Management and the Italian fashion system. Over the course of two weeks, participants engaged in a comprehensive program that combined academic lectures, project work, meetings with industry professionals, and company visits, experiencing firsthand the unique environment of one of the world's fashion capitals.

Throughout the program, students had the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of the dynamics of the fashion industry, developing a strategic perspective through direct interaction with companies and institutions that represent the excellence of Made in Italy. Visits to leading companies and cultural institutions such as OVS, Fondazione Prada, and Armani/Silos were among the highlights of the Summer School, offering participants a comprehensive view of the different dimensions of the fashion system. From retail strategies and product development to the enhancement of brands' cultural and creative heritage, as well as topics such as brand identity, heritage, and innovation, students gained valuable insights into how business, culture, and creativity contribute to the global competitiveness of the fashion industry.

Beyond its academic and professional value, the IIFM Milan Summer School also provided an important platform for international exchange. Students from 14 countries—including the United States, Canada, Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Italy, India, Belgium, Spain, Australia, Egypt, and several others—shared ideas, experiences, and perspectives in a dynamic multicultural environment that fostered the development of cross-cultural skills, professional networks, and friendships that will continue well beyond the end of the program.

The Summer School reaffirms IIFM Milan's commitment to delivering educational programs that combine academic excellence, hands-on learning, and direct engagement with industry, equipping students with the practical knowledge and international outlook needed to meet the challenges of the fashion and luxury sectors.

A heartfelt thank you goes to all the students for their enthusiasm, curiosity, and dedication throughout these two weeks, and to our partner companies for welcoming our participants and generously sharing their expertise, experience, and best practices. Their contribution has helped make this edition of the IIFM Milan Summer School a truly valuable opportunity for academic, professional, and personal growth.

We look forward to welcoming the next group of participants to the IIFM Milan Summer School 2027, scheduled for Summer 2027!
