IIFM Project Work: from education to real-world business experience

The IIFM Project Works kicked off in October, bringing the academic world closer to the fashion and luxury industries.

As a core component of the IIFM Master’s programmes, the Project Works give students the opportunity to apply the knowledge, methodologies and tools acquired during their studies to projects developed from real corporate briefs.

Students are tasked with interpreting companies’ needs, analysing their business context and developing concrete proposals and solutions. Working in teams, they engage with the constraints, objectives and dynamics that characterise the professional world.

The entire process takes place under the supervision of IIFM faculty members and managers and executives from the participating companies, creating a direct link between academic learning and professional practice. Working alongside industry professionals and decision-makers enables students to strengthen not only their technical skills, but also their analytical, collaborative and synthesis abilities, as well as their capacity to turn a brief into a structured project.

The Project Work therefore represents a significant milestone in the learning journey: from knowledge to application, from theory to project development, and from the classroom to the business environment.

Among the projects currently being developed by students are a CRM Project for Swarovski and a Business Development Project in Luxury Hospitality for Maurel.

IIFM would like to extend its special thanks to Swarovski, Maurel and all the companies and professionals who contribute to our students’ education by sharing their experience, expertise and real-world industry perspectives.

It is through this dialogue between education, business and professional practice that the Master’s journey becomes a truly future-oriented experience, preparing students for their professional careers.
