Rome Study Tour at IIFM Milan: An Immersive Experience in Fashion & Luxury Management
Milan, Italy – June 29, 2026

Students enrolled in the Fashion Management Master's programs at IIFM Milan enjoyed a unique learning experience during the Rome Study Tour, an educational journey designed to provide direct exposure to some of the most prestigious companies in the Italian fashion and luxury industry. Through exclusive visits to the Valentino Archive and Fendi, participants gained first-hand insight into the dynamics of Fashion & Luxury Management, engaging with industry professionals and discovering how leading international luxury brands create value, foster innovation, and build a distinctive brand identity.

The visit to the Valentino Archive offered students the opportunity to understand the strategic importance of fashion archives in preserving the creative and cultural heritage of luxury maisons. Safeguarding a brand's heritage means protecting its savoir-faire, celebrating its history, and transforming it into a strategic asset to successfully navigate the challenges of the global luxury market. During the meeting with Valentino's managers, students also explored some of the industry's most relevant topics, discussing strategies related to brand development, communication, and innovation that are shaping the future of luxury fashion.

The study tour continued with a company visit to Fendi, one of the most iconic symbols of Made in Italy. The experience highlighted the central role of craftsmanship, manufacturing excellence, and product quality in maintaining the competitiveness of luxury brands. Students gained valuable insights into brand management strategies, customer experience personalization, integrated communication, and the importance of customer experience in strengthening brand equity. The visit also provided a unique perspective on the world of luxury hospitality, illustrating how Fendi has developed a comprehensive brand ecosystem in which fashion, hospitality, services, and exclusive experiences work together to reinforce the brand's positioning and deepen customer relationships.

The Rome Study Tour represents one of the distinctive features of IIFM Milan's educational approach, reaffirming the Institute's commitment to delivering learning experiences that combine academic excellence with direct engagement with leading companies in the fashion, luxury, and lifestyle sectors. Through company visits, meetings with industry executives, and hands-on learning activities, students develop practical skills and an international perspective, preparing them to successfully address the challenges of the global luxury market with a strategic and managerial mindset.
